We briefly mentioned it in the last blog post announcing the Simply Hired Help Center, but it’s so cool we’re giving it a dedicated post: We now have a glossary of important publisher terms! This glossary was created to help you understand and properly use our publisher lingo (which is much like leetspeak - ph34r t3h 1337 skillz!!11!!). We’ll be continually adding content, so leave us a comment if you come across an ambiguous word that we should include.
Here are a couple of the super-important words and definitions:
Backfill - Job content gathered by Simply Hired (both Sponsored and Organic) that supplements the direct job postings in Job-a-matic or on a publisher's own site.
C-NAME (Canonical Name record) - Name record in the Domain Name System that specifically identifies if a domain name is an alias of another domain name.
eCPM - Calculation of the earnings per thousand sponsored jobs shown.
Organic Jobs - This is all the job content which we have gathered which is not sponsored by an advertiser but is still available for our users to see.
XML API - A feed of data which offers our developers underlying job search results to create more customized integrations, but does not offer functionality for the dynamic filtering or categorization of jobs (this can be found in the Job-a-matic).
Check out the rest of the publisher terms in the Publisher Glossary
Is there a way to get an answer to a question that is not posted in your Help Center? (such as posted jobs not showing up?)
Thx
