Many of the top performing Job-a-matic job boards have two things in common: traffic and advertising. If you don’t have massive amounts of traffic to your site, you can still make a nice chunk of change by having a very engaged audience. This is where the shameless advertising comes in. Here are a few quick tips to promote your job board on your site.
1. Link to your job board if you have another site
This sounds basic, but it’s often overlooked. If you have another site and don’t have a big, obvious link over to your job board, many of your visitors will not even realize it exists. And if they’re not coming to your job board, how can they post jobs and click on sponsored listings to earn you some cash? Many sites choose to link over by including a “Jobs” tab in their main navigation.
2. Display some banner ads
If the big ol’ link in your main navigation isn’t enough, it helps to do a little additional promotion. Advertise your job board with a few banner ads throughout your site that lead to your job board. These could be posted with a “Search for Jobs” angle or “Post your Jobs” angle, depending on your audience. You can find the HTML for a few banners to copy and paste into your site in the Promote tab of your Job-a-matic account, under Banners & Links. In addition, if you feel like being creative, you can create your own banner and link it to your Job-a-matic board.
3. Write about it
Have a blog? Write content for your site? These are great places to write updates about your job board. Let potential job posters know that you’ve got a targeted, engaged audience that they can now promote their job listings to. Not to mention that their jobs will be included in SimplyHired.com results and distributed throughout its partner network, and for a good price too. To indicate that your job board is a member of Simply Hired’s premium partner network of over 10,000 sites, add our partner badge to your site.
In addition, let your visitors know that you’ve created a resource on your site which will allow them to browse job listings to find their next professional opportunity. For example, many partners send out announcements to call out open positions on their job board. Not only is this a reminder to your readers to visit your job board, but this added exposure is an incentive for employers to add their jobs as well.
These quick tips will have your visitors posting and clicking more jobs than ever – and will hopefully add some extra cash to your wallet.
Really good tips on promoting a job board. If you have an active job board and you're not blogging, you really should be. Good advise on banner ads too. Looking forward to future posts.

I also like to post to my facebook business page when I have new jobs added - that really increases traffic as people go to check it out.

Many of the suggestions are valuable here. But on a personal note i feel banners and advertisements are a bit costly to afford especially when you are sitting with low budgets
